L'anticorps polyclonal de lapin anti-RGS17 est un anticorps d'ELK Biotechnology destiné aux workflows de recherche impliquant RGS17.
Ce gène code pour un membre de la famille des régulateurs de signalisation des protéines G. Cette protéine contient un motif conservé de 120 acides aminés appelé domaine RGS et une région riche en cystéines. La protéine atténue l'activité de signalisation des protéines G en se liant aux sous-unités G alpha activées, liées au GTP, et en agissant comme une protéine activatrice de la GTPase (GAP), augmentant le taux de conversion du GTP en GDP. Cette hydrolyse permet aux sous-unités G alpha de se lier aux hétérodimères des sous-unités G bêta/gamma, formant des hétérotrimères de protéines G inactives, mettant ainsi fin au signal.
