La protéine échangeur de Rac 1 dépendante du phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate est une protéine qui, chez l'homme, est codée par le gène PREX1. La protéine codée par ce gène agit comme un facteur d'échange de nucléotides de guanine pour la famille RHO de petites protéines de liaison au GTP (RACs). Il a été démontré qu'elle se lie et active RAC1 en échangeant le GDP lié contre le GTP libre. La protéine codée, qui se trouve principalement dans le cytoplasme, est activée par le phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate et les sous-unités bêta-gamma des protéines G hétérotrimériques.
