Le récepteur des acides biliaires (BAR), également connu sous le nom de récepteur X farnésoïde (FXR) ou NR1H4 (sous-famille de récepteurs nucléaires 1, groupe H, membre 4) est un récepteur nucléaire qui est codé par le gène NR1H4 chez l'homme. Ce gène code pour un facteur de transcription activé par un ligand qui partage des caractéristiques structurelles communes avec les membres de la famille des récepteurs hormonaux nucléaires. Cette protéine fonctionne comme un récepteur pour les acides biliaires, et lorsqu'elle est liée aux acides biliaires, elle se lie à l'ADN et régule l'expression des gènes impliqués dans la synthèse et le transport des acides biliaires.
