Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 14 (TNFRSF14), auch bekannt als HVEM, ist ein Protein, das beim Menschen vom TNFRSF14-Gen kodiert wird. HVEM spielt eine wichtige Rolle in der HSV-Pathogenese, da es das Eindringen mehrerer Wildtyp-HSV-Stämme beider Serotypen in CHO-Zellen verstärkt und das Eindringen von HSV in aktivierte menschliche T-Zellen vermittelt. HVEM und BTLA, die einen bidirektionalen Signalweg bilden, können das Überleben von Zellen und hemmende Reaktionen zwischen interagierenden Zellen regulieren.
