Die Beta- und Gamma-Ketten sind erforderlich für die GTPase-Aktivität, für den Ersatz von GDP durch GTP und für die G-Protein-Effektor-Interaktion. Ähnlichkeit: Gehört zur G-Protein-Gamma-Familie. Untereinheit: G-Proteine bestehen aus 3 Einheiten, Alpha, Beta und Gamma.
