TAPT1-Kaninchen-pAk ist ein Antikörper von ELK Biotechnology für Forschungsabläufe, die TAPT1 betreffen.

Hintergrund

Dieses Gen kodiert ein hochkonserviertes, mutmaßliches Transmembranprotein. Eine Mutation im Maus-Ortholog dieses Gens führt zu homöotischen, posterior-zu-anterioren Transformationen des Achsenskeletts, die dem Phänotyp von Maus-Homeobox-C8-Genmutanten ähneln. Es wird angenommen, dass dieses Gen nachgeschaltet von Homeobox C8 wirkt, um extrazelluläre Musterinformationen während der Entwicklung des Achsenskeletts zu transduzieren. Eine alternativ gespleißte Transkriptvariante, die eine wesentlich andere Isoform kodiert, wurde beschrieben, deren biologische Validität jedoch nicht bestimmt wurde.
