Rekombinantes Ratten-Interleukin-2 wird von unserem Säugetier-Expressionssystem hergestellt und das Zielgen, das Ala21-Gln155 kodiert, wird mit einem 6His-Tag am C-Terminus exprimiert.
Interleukin-2 (IL-2) ist ein O-glykosyliertes Zytokin mit vier α-Helix-Bündeln, das eine potente stimulierende Aktivität für antigenaktivierte T-Zellen besitzt. Es wird von CD4+- und CD8+-T-Zellen, γδ-T-Zellen, B-Zellen, dendritischen Zellen und Eosinophilen exprimiert. Reifes Ratten-IL-2 weist eine Aminosäuresequenzidentität von 66 % und 73 % mit humanem bzw. Maus-IL-2 auf. Der Rezeptor für IL-2 besteht aus drei Untereinheiten, die in unterschiedlich vorgeformten Komplexen auf der Zelloberfläche vorhanden sind. IL-2 ist ein potentes immunregulatorisches Lymphokin, das von T-Zellen als Reaktion auf antigene oder mitogene Stimulation produziert wird. Die IL-2/IL-2R-Signalübertragung ist für die T-Zellproliferation und andere grundlegende Funktionen, die für die Immunantwort unerlässlich sind, erforderlich. IL-2 stimuliert das Wachstum und die Differenzierung von B-Zellen, NK-Zellen, Lymphokin-aktivierten Killerzellen, Monozyten, Makrophagen und Oligodendrozyten.
