Rekombinantes humanes Protocadherin-10 wird durch unser Säugetier-Expressionssystem hergestellt und das Zielgen, das Gln19-Thr715 kodiert, wird mit einem Fc-Tag am C-Terminus exprimiert.
Protocadherin-10 (PCDH10) ist ein Einzelpass-Typ-I-Membranprotein, das sechs extrazelluläre Cadherin-Domänen, eine Transmembrandomäne und eine zytoplasmatische Endung enthält, die sich von denen der klassischen Cadherine unterscheiden. Als potenzieller kalziumabhängiger neuronaler Zelladhäsionsrezeptor spielt es möglicherweise eine Rolle bei der Etablierung und Funktion spezifischer Zell-Zell-Verbindungen im Gehirn. PCDH10 wird moderat in allen untersuchten Gehirnregionen sowie in Hoden und Eierstöcken exprimiert und in allen anderen getesteten Geweben gering.
