Die E3-Ubiquitin-Protein-Ligase NEDD4, auch bekannt als Neural Precursor Cell Expressed Developmentally Down-Regulated Protein 4 (NEDD4), ist ein Enzym, das beim Menschen durch das NEDD4-Gen kodiert wird. Dieses Gen ist das Gründungsmitglied der NEDD4-Familie von HECT-Ubiquitin-Ligasen, die im Ubiquitin-Proteasom-System des Proteinabbaus funktionieren. Das kodierte Protein enthält eine N-terminale Calcium- und Phospholipid-bindende C2-Domäne, gefolgt von mehreren tryptophanhaltigen WW-Domänen und einer C-terminalen HECT-Ubiquitin-Ligase-katalytischen Domäne. Es spielt eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Regulierung einer Reihe von Membranrezeptoren, Komponenten der Endozytosemaschinerie und des Tumorsuppressors PTEN.
