IKBKB (Inhibitor of Kappa Light Chain Gene Enhancer in B Cells, Kinase of, Beta), auch bekannt als IKKB oder NFKBIKB, ist ein Protein, das beim Menschen durch das IKBKB-Gen kodiert wird. Dieses Gen ist mittels FISH auf Chromosom 8p12-p11 kartiert. Es wurde festgestellt, dass Mutationen in IKK2 eine stärkere Auswirkung auf die NFKB-Aktivierung hatten als vergleichbare Mutationen in IKK1. Die Aktivität verschiedener entzündungshemmender Mittel auf den IKK-Komplex wurde untersucht, und es wurde festgestellt, dass Aspirin und Natriumsalicylat die IKK-beta-Aktivität in vitro und in vivo spezifisch hemmen, indem sie an IKK-beta binden, um die ATP-Bindung zu reduzieren.
