GPD1L ist ein menschliches Gen. Es ist auf 3p22.3 kartiert. Das von diesem Gen kodierte Protein enthält ein Glycerin-3-phosphat-Dehydrogenase (NAD+)-Motiv und weist eine 72%ige Sequenzidentität mit GPD1 auf. Das kodierte Protein befindet sich im Zytoplasma, assoziiert mit der Plasmamembran, wo es an die spannungsgesteuerte Natriumkanal-Alpha-Untereinheit vom Typ V (SCN5A) bindet. Defekte in diesem Gen sind eine Ursache für das Brugada-Syndrom Typ 2 (BRS2) sowie den plötzlichen Kindstod (SIDS).
