Der Chemokinrezeptor CXCR3 ist ein G-alpha-i-Protein-gekoppelter Rezeptor aus der CXC-Chemokinrezeptorfamilie. Andere Bezeichnungen für CXCR3 sind G-Protein-gekoppelter Rezeptor 9 (GPR9) und CD183. Er ist auf Xq13.1 kartiert. CXCR3 wird auf malignen B-Zellen aus chronischen lymphoproliferativen Erkrankungen exprimiert, insbesondere bei Patienten mit CLL, und stellt einen voll funktionsfähigen Rezeptor dar, der an der Chemotaxis maligner B-Lymphozyten beteiligt ist. Es wurde festgestellt, dass CXCR3 in Abwesenheit bekannter ätiologischer Wirkstoffe ein neuartiges Ziel für therapeutische Interventionen im frühen Stadium von Typ-1-Diabetes darstellt. Die CXCR3-Signalübertragung ist mit der MG-Pathogenese assoziiert, und es wird vorgeschlagen, dass CXCR3 als neuartige Arzneimittelziele zur Behandlung von MG dienen könnte. CXCR3A und CXCR3B sind an den chemotaktischen und vaskulären Effekten von CXCL4L1 beteiligt.
