Das zytoplasmatische Polyadenylierungselement-Bindeprotein 4 (CPEB4) ist ein sequenzspezifisches RNA-bindendes Protein, das an der translationalen Kontrolle beteiligt ist. CPEB4 ist ein Mitglied der CPEB-Familie, zu der CPEB1, CPEB2, CPEB3 und CPEB4 gehören, die alle eine ähnliche Struktur und Sequenzidentität in der C-terminalen RNA-Bindedomäne (RBD) aufweisen. CPEB4 besitzt zwei Domänen: eine, die für die RNA-Bindung strukturiert ist, und eine, die unstrukturiert und von geringer Komplexität ist und keine bekannte Funktion hat.
