Cyclin-abhängige Kinase 7, auch bekannt als Zelldivisions-Proteinkinase 7, ist ein Enzym, das beim Menschen durch das CDK7-Gen kodiert wird. Das durch dieses Gen kodierte Protein ist ein Mitglied der Familie der Cyclin-abhängigen Proteinkinasen (CDK). Das Gen wurde dem menschlichen Chromosom 5q13.2 zugeordnet. Serin/Threonin-Kinase, die an der Zellzykluskontrolle und an der RNA-Polymerase-II-vermittelten RNA-Transkription beteiligt ist. CDK7 ist die katalytische Untereinheit des CDK-aktivierenden Kinase (CAK)-Komplexes. Es ist für die DNA-gebundenen Peptid-vermittelte Transkription und die Hemmung des Zellwachstums erforderlich.
