MitoBright Red Probe ist ein lipophiler, kationischer Fluoreszenzfarbstoff zur Markierung von Mitochondrien in lebenden Zellen mit einer milden sulfhydrylreaktiven Chlormethyl-Funktionsgruppe, die kovalent mit Sulfhydrylgruppen an Proteinen und Polypeptiden in der mitochondrialen Matrix reagiert, um eine Thioesterbindung zu bilden, die sich in den Mitochondrien ansammelt.
