MitoBright Green Probe ist ein Fluoreszenzfarbstoff, der Zellmembranen frei passieren kann und zur Markierung intakter Mitochondrien in lebenden Zellen verwendet wird. Er kann spezifisch an negativ geladene Phospholipide wie Cardiolipin auf der mitochondrialen Membran binden und zur qualitativen oder quantitativen Bestimmung der mitochondrialen Masse sowie der toxischen und schädigenden Wirkungen von freien Radikalen und Oxidationsmitteln auf die zellulären Mitochondrien durch Analyse der Veränderungen des Cardiolipins auf der mitochondrialen Membran verwendet werden.
