Phosphoglyceratkinase (PGK) ist ein Enzym, das eine Schlüsselrolle in der Glykolyse spielt und in der zweiten Stufe des Glykolyseweges wirkt. Es katalysiert die reversible Übertragung von Phosphatgruppen von 1,3-Diphosphoglycerat (1,3-DPG) auf ADP, wodurch 3-Phosphoglycerat (3-PGA) und ATP gebildet werden. PGK ist ein unverzichtbares Schlüsselenzym in lebenden Organismen, und ihre Proteinkinase-Aktivität spielt eine wichtige Rolle bei der Aufrechterhaltung der zellulären Homöostase.
Das Bestimmungsprinzip dieses Kits: PGK katalysiert die Substratreaktion und verbraucht das Reduktionsmittel. Das Reduktionsmittel hat eine maximale Absorption bei 340 nm. Die Enzymaktivität von PGK wird berechnet, indem die Menge des pro Zeiteinheit der Reaktion verbrauchten Reduktionsmittels ermittelt wird.
