Technical note
Lactatdehydrogenase katalysiert die Reaktion von Milchsäure mit NAD+ zur Bildung von Brenztraubensäure und NADH. NADH überträgt unter der Wirkung von PMS Elektronen auf WST-8, um das gelbe Produkt zu erzeugen, das einen charakteristischen Absorptionspeak bei 450 nm aufweist. Daher kann die LDH-Aktivität durch Messung des OD-Wertes bei 450 nm quantifiziert werden.
