6-Phosphogluconsäure (6-PGA) ist ein Zwischenprodukt im Pentosephosphatweg. Im Pentosephosphatweg wird 6-PGA durch 6-Phosphogluconat-Dehydrogenase zu Ribulose-5-phosphat umgewandelt, einem Vorläufer für die Nukleinsäuresynthese.
Das Nachweisprinzip dieses Kits: 6-PGA wird unter enzymatischer Katalyse umgewandelt, und das fluoreszierende Substrat wird in eine fluoreszierende Substanz umgewandelt. Der Gehalt an 6-PGA in der Probe kann durch Messung des Fluoreszenzsignals der fluoreszierenden Substanz bei einer Anregungswellenlänge von 535 nm und einer Emissionswellenlänge von 587 nm bestimmt werden.
