Pig CLU(Clusterin) ELISA Kit is a research-use ELISA kit from ELK Biotechnology for measuring CLU in Serum, Plasma, Tissue homogenates, Cell lysates, Cell culture supernatant, Other biological fluids samples from Pig. Use the listed assay range, sample guidance and protocol documents to assess suitability for the intended study.
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Pig CLU. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells then with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Pig CLU. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Pig CLU, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Pig CLU in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

Clusterin (CLU), also known as apolipoprotein J or ApoJ, is a secreted extracellular chaperone protein. This target guide connects human NCBI Gene 1191, UniProtKB P10909 and ABMIUM catalogue products associated with clusterin / CLU.
Biological function: Clusterin functions as an extracellular chaperone that helps prevent aggregation of non-native and stress-damaged proteins. The major secreted form can inhibit formation of several amyloid fibrils in vitro and maintain partially unfolded proteins in a state that can be handled by other chaperone systems.
