Lipocalin-2 (LCN2), also known as NGAL, is a secreted lipocalin involved in innate immune defence and iron handling through binding of bacterial siderophores. In rat, Lcn2 is located in the extracellular space and is expressed across several tissues, including lung and testes.
This Boster Bio PicoKine® ELISA kit is designed for quantitative detection of rat Lcn2. The assay uses an anti-rat Lcn2 pre-coated microplate, a biotinylated rat Lcn2 detection antibody and a recombinant rat Lcn2 standard.
