Caveolin-2 (CAV2) is a caveolin-family membrane protein that works with caveolin-1 in the organisation of lipid rafts and caveolae, specialised plasma-membrane domains involved in signalling and membrane trafficking. It is associated principally with caveolar and cell membranes, with additional localisation reported at Golgi membranes and in intracellular compartments.
