Streptavidin binds biotin with very high affinity and is widely used to detect biotinylated antibodies, probes and other labelled biomolecules in immunoassay and blotting workflows. Coupling streptavidin to alkaline phosphatase provides an enzyme reporter that can generate a measurable signal after addition of a suitable phosphatase substrate.
This Boster Bio reagent is alkaline phosphatase-conjugated streptavidin for detection steps that use biotin-labelled reagents. It is intended as a workflow reagent rather than a target-specific antibody, so protein target localisation is not applicable.
