Product description

Mouse PDGFB(Platelet Derived Growth Factor Subunit B) ELISA Kit is a research-use ELISA kit from ELK Biotechnology for measuring PDGFB in Serum, Plasma, Tissue homogenates, Cell lysates, Other biological fluids samples from Mouse. Use the listed assay range, sample guidance and protocol documents to assess suitability for the intended study.

Test principle

The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Mouse PDGFB. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells then with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Mouse PDGFB. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Mouse PDGFB, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Mouse PDGFB in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

Research target context

PDGFBplatelet derived growth factor subunit B

View target guide

PDGFB identifies platelet derived growth factor subunit B in Homo sapiens (Human). This target record connects NCBI Gene 5155, UniProtKB P01127 and related ABMIUM catalogue products.

Biological function: Platelet-derived growth factor subunit B (PDGFB; PDGF-B) is a secreted growth-factor chain that forms PDGF-BB homodimers or PDGF-AB heterodimers and activates PDGF receptor tyrosine kinases. It supports mitogenic and chemotactic signalling in mesenchymal and vascular-associated cells.
