TNFSF13, also known as APRIL or CD256, is a TNF-superfamily cytokine that binds the receptors TACI and BCMA and contributes to B-cell biology, including the maintenance of antibody-secreting plasma cells. Human TNFSF13 is proteolytically processed and is found in secreted form, allowing it to act as an extracellular signalling ligand.
