STRAP, also known as UNRIP, is a WD-repeat protein involved in RNA-processing and signalling pathways. It contributes to the cellular distribution and function of the SMN complex, which participates in small nuclear ribonucleoprotein assembly, and it also modulates TGF-beta and PDPK1 signalling. STRAP is found predominantly in the cytoplasm, with additional nuclear localisation.
