Product description

HSPA8, also known as Hsc70 or Hsp73, is a constitutively expressed member of the Hsp70 chaperone family. It supports protein quality control by binding newly synthesised or misfolded polypeptides, facilitating folding and refolding, and helping direct selected proteins towards degradation pathways. HSPA8 also contributes to processes including chaperone-mediated autophagy and clathrin-coated vesicle disassembly. The protein is found predominantly in the cytoplasm but can also localise to the nucleus, nucleolus and membrane-associated compartments depending on cellular state.

Boster Bio PA1816 is a rabbit polyclonal antibody against HSPA8/Hsc70. Boster states that it was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human Hsc70 and is immunogen-affinity purified.
