CD80, also known as B7-1, is a cell-surface immunoglobulin-superfamily protein expressed particularly by activated antigen-presenting cells. It provides an important co-stimulatory signal to T cells through CD28 and also interacts with CTLA-4 to regulate T-cell activation, proliferation and cytokine production.
