Product description

CD200 rabbit pAb is a research-use antibody from ELK Biotechnology for studying CD200 in WB, IHC, IF, ELISA workflows with listed reactivity for Human, Rat, Mouse. Specifications and supporting documents below should be reviewed when planning the experiment.

Background

This gene encodes a type I membrane glycoprotein containing two extracellular immunoglobulin domains, a transmembrane and a cytoplasmic domain. This gene is expressed by various cell types, including B cells, a subset of T cells, thymocytes, endothelial cells, and neurons. The encoded protein plays an important role in immunosuppression and regulation of anti-tumor activity. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Research target context

CD200CD200 molecule

View target guide

CD200 molecule (CD200), also known as OX-2 membrane glycoprotein or OX-2, is a cell-surface immunoregulatory glycoprotein that engages CD200 receptors. ABMIUM catalogue products linked below support research on CD200 biology.

Biological function: CD200 molecule (CD200/OX-2 membrane glycoprotein) is a type I membrane glycoprotein that binds inhibitory CD200 receptor family members, particularly CD200R1. CD200-CD200R signalling helps restrain activation of myeloid-lineage immune cells and contributes to regulation of inflammatory and immune responses.
