Product description

Rat ABCG2(ATP Binding Cassette Transporter G2) ELISA Kit is a research-use ELISA kit from ELK Biotechnology for measuring ABCG2 in Tissue homogenates, Cell lysates, Other biological fluids samples from Rat. Use the listed assay range, sample guidance and protocol documents to assess suitability for the intended study.

Test principle

The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat ABCG2. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells then with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Rat ABCG2. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Rat ABCG2, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Rat ABCG2 in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

Research target context

ABCG2ATP binding cassette subfamily G member 2 (JR blood group)

View target guide

ATP binding cassette subfamily G member 2 (ABCG2), also called breast cancer resistance protein (BCRP) or CD338, is a broad-substrate ATP-dependent efflux transporter represented in the ABMIUM catalogue.

Biological function: ABCG2/BCRP is a broad-substrate ATP-dependent transporter that exports physiological compounds, dietary toxins and xenobiotics from cells. It contributes to multidrug resistance and also participates in transport of porphyrins, heme and urate.
