Product description

XBP1 is a basic leucine zipper transcription factor that is central to the IRE1 arm of the unfolded protein response. Endoplasmic-reticulum stress drives unconventional splicing of XBP1 mRNA to produce the active XBP1s transcription factor, which regulates genes involved in protein folding and secretory capacity. XBP1 can localise to the endoplasmic reticulum, cytoplasm and nucleus, with the active transcriptional form acting in the nucleus. Boster Bio PB9463 is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against an N-terminal human XBP1 peptide.
