Product description

TFRC encodes transferrin receptor 1, a type II transmembrane receptor that mediates cellular iron uptake by binding transferrin and internalising the complex through receptor-mediated endocytosis. After iron release in acidified endosomes, the receptor recycles back to the plasma membrane.
