MAFA is a basic leucine zipper transcription factor with a central role in pancreatic beta-cell identity and function. It binds regulatory elements in the insulin gene and helps coordinate glucose-responsive insulin transcription. As a transcription factor, MAFA acts in the nucleus, with expression particularly associated with mature pancreatic beta cells.
This Boster Bio antibody targets MAFA. Boster identifies RP1066 as a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against a synthetic peptide from the middle region of human MAFA.
