SMAD4 is the common-mediator SMAD that links signalling from TGF-beta superfamily receptors to transcriptional responses. It forms complexes with activated receptor-regulated SMADs and helps regulate genes involved in proliferation, differentiation, development and tissue homeostasis. SMAD4 is present in both the cytoplasm and nucleus; in the absence of ligand it is largely cytoplasmic, while signalling promotes its movement into the nucleus in complexes with activated SMAD proteins.
This Boster Bio Anti-SMAD4 antibody is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against a synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of human SMAD4. It is intended for research detection of SMAD4 protein.
