SIRT1 is an NAD-dependent protein deacetylase that links cellular energy status to chromatin and transcriptional control. It regulates processes including metabolism, DNA-damage responses, apoptosis and autophagy by deacetylating histones and a broad range of transcriptional regulators. SIRT1 is found predominantly in the nucleus but can shuttle between nuclear and cytoplasmic compartments.
This Boster Bio antibody is a rabbit polyclonal raised against a recombinant human SIRT1 fragment and is designed to recognise SIRT1.
