Product description

BMI1 is a Polycomb-group chromatin regulator that functions within PRC1-like complexes to maintain transcriptional repression through chromatin modification, including regulation of histone H2A monoubiquitination. It is found in the nucleus and cytoplasm and is involved in controlling developmental gene expression and the proliferative capacity of stem and progenitor cells.
