GLUT4, encoded by SLC2A4, is an insulin-regulated facilitative glucose transporter that plays a central role in glucose uptake by skeletal muscle and adipose tissue. In the absence of insulin, much of the transporter is retained in intracellular storage vesicles; insulin stimulation promotes its translocation to the plasma membrane, where it facilitates glucose entry into cells.
This Boster Bio antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against recombinant human GLUT4 protein. It is intended for research detection of SLC2A4/GLUT4, with application and reactivity details provided separately in the product specifications.
