Product description

Rabbit TFPI(Tissue Factor Pathway Inhibitor) ELISA Kit is a research-use ELISA kit from ELK Biotechnology for measuring TFPI in Plasma samples from Rabbit. Use the listed assay range, sample guidance and protocol documents to assess suitability for the intended study.

Test principle

The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rabbit TFPI. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells then with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Rabbit TFPI. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Rabbit TFPI, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Rabbit TFPI in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

Research target context

TFPItissue factor pathway inhibitor

View target guide

TFPI identifies tissue factor pathway inhibitor in Homo sapiens (Human). This target record connects NCBI Gene 7035, UniProtKB P10646 and related ABMIUM catalogue products.

Biological function: Tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI; LACI/EPI) is a secreted Kunitz-type serine protease inhibitor that restrains initiation of the extrinsic coagulation pathway by inhibiting factor Xa and the tissue factor-factor VIIa complex.
