Dog ADM(Adrenomedullin) ELISA Kit is a research-use ELISA kit from ELK Biotechnology for measuring ADM in Serum, Plasma, Other biological fluids samples from Dog. Use the listed assay range, sample guidance and protocol documents to assess suitability for the intended study.
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Dog ADM. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells then with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Dog ADM. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Dog ADM, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Dog ADM in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
Alternative names include AM; PAMP; Proadrenomedullin N-20 terminal peptide; ProAM N-terminal 20 peptide.

Adrenomedullin (ADM; AM) is produced from the pro-adrenomedullin precursor, which also gives rise to proadrenomedullin N-terminal peptide (PAMP). Human ADM is represented by NCBI Gene 133 and reviewed UniProtKB P35318, with related ABMIUM catalogue reagents for research use.
Biological function: The ADM gene encodes pro-adrenomedullin, a precursor processed into biologically active peptides including adrenomedullin and PAMP. Curated NCBI and UniProt records describe adrenomedullin as a vasoactive peptide with potent vasodilatory and hypotensive activity and roles in fluid and electrolyte homeostasis; reviewed UniProt identifies signalling through CALCRL-RAMP2 and CALCRL-RAMP3 receptor complexes.
