Research target context

CD34CD34 molecule

View target guide

CD34 molecule (CD34), whose reviewed human protein is named hematopoietic progenitor cell antigen CD34, is a cell-surface target associated with hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell biology. This hub connects verified identifiers and names with ABMIUM catalogue products.

Biological function: CD34 molecule (CD34) encodes hematopoietic progenitor cell antigen CD34, a highly glycosylated single-pass membrane protein. NCBI and UniProt describe a possible adhesion role in early hematopoiesis, including attachment of stem cells to bone-marrow extracellular matrix or stromal cells and presentation of carbohydrate ligands to selectins.
