CD19 rabbit pAb is a research-use antibody from ELK Biotechnology for studying CD19 in WB, IHC, IF, ELISA workflows with listed reactivity for Human, Rat, Mouse. Specifications and supporting documents below should be reviewed when planning the experiment.
Lymphocytes proliferate and differentiate in response to various concentrations of different antigens. The ability of the B cell to respond in a specific, yet sensitive manner to the various antigens is achieved with the use of low-affinity antigen receptors. This gene encodes a cell surface molecule which assembles with the antigen receptor of B lymphocytes in order to decrease the threshold for antigen receptor-dependent stimulation. CD19 molecule (CD19), also known as B-lymphocyte antigen CD19, is a B-cell surface glycoprotein and signalling coreceptor. This guide connects human NCBI Gene 930, UniProtKB P15391 and ABMIUM catalogue products associated with CD19.
Biological function: CD19 functions as a coreceptor for the B-cell antigen receptor complex, lowering the threshold for antigen-triggered B-cell activation. CD19 signalling can activate phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase pathways and mobilise intracellular calcium, supporting normal B-cell differentiation, proliferation and antibody responses.
