Product description

Human ANXA3(Annexin A3) ELISA Kit is a research-use ELISA kit from ELK Biotechnology for measuring ANXA3 in Serum, Plasma, Tissue homogenates, Other biological fluids samples from Human. Use the listed assay range, sample guidance and protocol documents to assess suitability for the intended study.

Test principle

The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human ANXA3. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells then with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Human ANXA3. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Human ANXA3, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Human ANXA3 in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

View target guide

Annexin A3 (ANXA3) is a calcium- and phospholipid-binding annexin family protein associated with membrane biology and phospholipid-dependent enzymatic regulation.

Biological function: Reviewed UniProt P12429 describes ANXA3 as an inhibitor of phospholipase A2 with anticoagulant properties and inositol 1,2-cyclic phosphate 2-phosphohydrolase activity. These functions place annexin A3 in calcium/phospholipid-dependent membrane and signalling biology.
