Product description

Tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) is a central pro-inflammatory cytokine involved in innate immune signalling, cell survival and death, and tissue inflammatory responses. It is synthesised as a type II transmembrane protein at the cell surface and can be proteolytically released as a soluble cytokine that signals through TNFR1 and TNFR2.

This Boster Bio TNF-α antibody is a rabbit polyclonal raised against recombinant mouse TNF-α protein. It is intended for research into mouse TNF expression, with application, reactivity and formulation details retained in the product specifications rather than duplicated here.

Research target context

TNFTumor necrosis factor

View target guide

TNF encodes a multifunctional pro-inflammatory cytokine in the tumour necrosis factor superfamily. This target hub connects accepted names and identifiers with ABMIUM antibodies, ELISA kits and related assay products.

Biological function: TNF is produced as a membrane-associated cytokine and can be released in soluble form. Signalling through TNFRSF1A (TNFR1) and TNFRSF1B (TNFR2) contributes to regulation of inflammation, immune responses, cell survival, differentiation and cell death.
