TEK, also known as TIE2, is a cell-surface receptor tyrosine kinase expressed prominently in vascular endothelial cells. Binding of angiopoietins regulates signalling involved in angiogenesis, endothelial cell survival, migration, adhesion and maintenance of vascular stability.
