Heparanase (HPSE) is an endoglycosidase that cleaves heparan sulphate within heparan sulphate proteoglycans, contributing to extracellular-matrix remodelling and processes including cell migration and inflammation. Proheparanase is secreted through the Golgi pathway, can associate with cell-surface heparan sulphate proteoglycans, and is internalised into endosomal and lysosomal compartments where proteolytic processing generates the active enzyme; nuclear localisation has also been reported.
This Boster Bio antibody is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against a synthetic peptide from the middle region of human heparanase 1. It is intended for research into HPSE expression and biology.
