NR3C1 encodes the glucocorticoid receptor, a ligand-activated transcription factor that mediates cellular responses to glucocorticoid hormones. In the absence of ligand it is maintained largely in the cytoplasm in a chaperone complex; hormone binding promotes receptor activation and nuclear translocation, where it regulates glucocorticoid-responsive genes.
This Boster Bio antibody is a rabbit polyclonal raised against a recombinant human NR3C1 fragment and is designed to recognise the glucocorticoid receptor.
