Product description

Rat CD14(Cluster Of Differentiation 14) Microsample ELISA Kit is a research-use ELISA kit from ELK Biotechnology for measuring CD14 in Serum, Plasma, Tissue homogenates, Other biological fluids samples from Rat. Use the listed assay range, sample guidance and protocol documents to assess suitability for the intended study.

Test principle

The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat CD14. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells then with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Rat CD14. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Rat CD14, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Rat CD14 in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

Research target context

CD14CD14 molecule

View target guide

CD14 identifies CD14 molecule in Homo sapiens (Human). This target record connects NCBI Gene 929, UniProtKB P08571 and related ABMIUM catalogue products.

Biological function: CD14 is a co-receptor for bacterial lipopolysaccharide. With LBP it transfers LPS to the LY96/TLR4 complex, supporting innate immune signalling and inflammatory cytokine responses.
