Technical note
This CLIA kit uses the Sandwich-CLIA principle. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human UCHL1. Samples or Standards are added to the micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human UCHL1 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human UCHL1, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear luminescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer at 425nm. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of Human UCHL1. You can calculate the concentration of Human UCHL1 in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.

Research target context

UCHL1ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase L1

View target guide

UCHL1 identifies ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase L1 in Homo sapiens (Human). This target record connects NCBI Gene 7345, UniProtKB P09936 and related ABMIUM catalogue products.

Biological function: Ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase L1 (UCHL1; PGP9.5) is a cysteine deubiquitinase/thiol protease that cleaves ubiquitin at its C-terminal glycine. It is strongly associated with neuronal and neuroendocrine cell biology.
