EGFR (phospho Tyr1069) rabbit pAb is a research-use antibody from ELK Biotechnology for studying EGFR in WB, ELISA workflows with listed reactivity for Human, Mouse, Rat, Monkey. Specifications and supporting documents below should be reviewed when planning the experiment.
The protein encoded by this gene is a transmembrane glycoprotein that is a member of the protein kinase superfamily. This protein is a receptor for members of the epidermal growth factor family. EGFR is a cell surface protein that binds to epidermal growth factor. Binding of the protein to a ligand induces receptor dimerization and tyrosine autophosphorylation and leads to cell proliferation. Mutations in this gene are associated with lung cancer. EGFR identifies epidermal growth factor receptor in Homo sapiens (Human). This target record connects NCBI Gene 1956, UniProtKB P00533 and related ABMIUM catalogue products.
Biological function: EGFR is a receptor tyrosine kinase that binds EGF-family ligands and converts extracellular growth signals into intracellular signalling responses. Ligand binding promotes receptor dimerisation and autophosphorylation, activating pathways that regulate cell proliferation, survival, differentiation and migration.
