Product description

CD8A encodes the alpha chain of the CD8 co-receptor, an integral membrane glycoprotein expressed prominently on cytotoxic T cells and on selected other immune cell populations. CD8A associates with the T-cell receptor complex during recognition of peptide presented by MHC class I and helps recruit signalling machinery needed for effective T-cell activation.
